“Simple Dreams” The Linda Ronstadt Show…  is Angela’s latest

Angela has always had a longing to stage her tribute show to an artist she truly admires – the incomparable Linda Ronstadt.

Very few artists can claim to have sung Folk, Rock, Pop, Musical Theatre to Opera but Linda Ronstadt has done it all!

Angela weaves her way through Linda’s famous songs, linking humorous stories and events.  Hits included are Silver Threads and Golden Needles, Different Drum, Blue Bayou, and It Doesn’t Matter Anymore.  Also included are Desperado, Just One Look, Poor Poor Pitiful Me and dozens more.  The beautiful ballad of the Gershwin great Someone To Watch Over Me is a stand out.  As is the Grammy Award winning song from the movie An American Tale, Somewhere Out There.

Her backing band The Stoned Brumbies, are some of Sydney’s finest musicians.  Angela says, “Linda has played an enormous part in my journey as a performer, and it is an honour to bring her songs to the stage”.

Angela has enjoyed an amazing career!!

From the 1970’s she was a Television star in her home country of New Zealand!
Starring in the original Australian production of A Chorus Line to Guys & Dolls with Anthony Warlow and the incomparable late and great Ricky May.

Angela has had starring roles in West Side Story, The Rocky Horror Show, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Cabaret and Chicago.

Returning to NZ in 2000, Angela again played lead roles in 42nd Street, Rush, Jerry’s Girls and Mum’s The Word.

She then toured Australia and NZ in Menopause The Musical.

In 2013/14, Angela played Miss Potts in the children’s musical Hairy Maclary at the Sydney Opera House.

Angela was lured back to Australia from London to star with the incredible cast of Jerry’s Girls.  Alongside Marcia Hines, Judi Connelli and Jeannie Little, the show was an incredible success.
